I'm a full time "GREEN" real estate agent in Orange County, CA. My goal is to introduce and promote "green" design principles and products to residents and break down the common misconceptions about being "green" while helping clients make the right real estate investment decision, opposed to a emotional mistake.
It's in my personal interest to encourage sustainability and the now trendy "Green" Revolution. I have the luxury of an occupation that enables me to support my personal beliefs through the business decisions I make.
Some of the business decisions I've made so far:
- Abandoning many of the regular real estate marketing strategies like dumping thoughtless bulk mail on my neighbors and spamming any email I can get a hold of.
- Only advertising with "green" minded media like the OC Voice.
- Using printers that offer non-chlorinated paper and recycled paper, and soy-based or vegetable inks whenever possible.
- Helping local non-profits and charities.
- Obtaining "green" building and marketing certifications
- Starting this blog.
- Starting a meetup group to organize and promote local "green" events, http://meetup.com/goinggreenorangecounty
- Become an American Solar Energy Society (ASES) Organizer and host a solar tour in Costa Mesa.
I can market real estate features that are considered "green" or find real estate suitable for a "green" renovation better than your standard real estate agent.

Evan,
Just ran into your blog re. Community Gardens and your comments on Green. Kudos to your efforts. We are allies yet unknown to each other, ought to start communication and hopefully meet.
Evan,
What’s more important than saving the environment? Nothing I can think of except perhaps spreading awareness about how we can save it. The earth is our most vital and nonrenewable resource and it is important we protect it. But did you know that only about 75% of people on average even care about the changing climates? And only about half of children learn about it in school. These are all facts from a website I am recommending to you. It is called Urtak.com, a word which means “sample” in Swedish. Urtak is a great new way to poll the population, your friends, foes, and even people you’ve never met! It uses yes or no questions to help you build your own poll and reap the benefits of accurate statistics. Everyone needs numbers to back them up and in the fight to create a better future for our planet, these statistics are overwhelming: we need to try harder! I hope that you will find this site as useful as I did and recommend it with confidence to your readers and friends! As an example, try this urtak: http://urtak.com/u/cop15 about global warming and its effects. All the best!
We rent electric motorcyles in Orange County. Dirt bikes and street bikes from the brand ZERO.
